Yvonne H. Street, 81, Rapid City, died at the Rapid City Regional Hospital Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002.

She was born June 12, 1921, at Wessington, S.D., the daughter of Roy and Lillian (Alger) Lambert. She resided at Wessington and attended schools there, later moving to the Black Hills with her family. Yvonne graduated from Rapid City High School in 1939.

She worked as a beautician in her early years and later was employed by Sears. She married John Street on June 12, 1941, at Huron, S.D.; they were blessed with a son, Steve, and a daughter, Susan.

Yvonne was a member of Hills Parish of S.D. in Hermosa, and she was a past Matron of Golden Link #14 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, John Street, Rapid City; a son, Steve Street and his wife, Jean, Rapid City; a daughter, Susan Cook and her husband Herb, Downey, CA; a sister, Joan Chase and her husband Dean, Ruidoso, New Mexico; a brother, Ross Lambert of California; four loving grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bob Lambert.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. today, and one hour prior to services, at the Osheim-Catron Funeral Home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Rev. Barbara Gammeter officiating. Interment will be at the Black Hills National Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
