Orpha Tullis, 92, Redding, CA, former resident of Decatur, died July 1 at Crestwood Convalescent Hospital in Redding, California. Service was conducted July 6 at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding with Pastor Chad Orton officiating. Burial was in Lawncrest Cemetery [Redding, California].

Orpha Glee Tullis was born to William S. and Ida Pottoroff in Seymour, Iowa Jan. 26, 1897 and died in Redding, CA Convalescent Hospital, age 92.

She attended school in Leon. She moved to Shasta County, Redding, CA in 1942 from Decatur, Iowa. She attended Shasta College wand was a licensed vocational nurse, last working for Memorial Hospital in Redding.

While in Decatur County she carried mail on a Star Route between Leon and Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorin V. Tullis on Aug. 31, 1931 at Decatur; her parents; two brothers: Irwin Pottoroff and Earl Pottoroff; two sisters: Ruth Cesler, Leon and Helen Chandler of California.

Surviving are sons: William of Central Valley, Paul of Des Moines, Iowa, and Lyle of Yukon, OK; daughters: Camille Juanita Butcher and Roberta Butcher, Redding, Kathryn French, Auburn, CA; sisters: Vera Barnhardt, Central Valley, Beulah Schultz, Ottumwa, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
