Donna Sue Tellier, age 70, of Davis City, Iowa, the daughter of Calvin Andrew and Ruth Marie (Quick) Combs, was born February 13, 1947, at Brooklyn, Missouri. She passed away at her Davis City home early Thanksgiving morning on November 23, 2017.

Donna lived with her family in Brooklyn, Missouri until her mom remarried, George Black. They moved to Red Oak, Iowa and then to Lamoni, Iowa where Donna attended school. Then she worked various café jobs.

She married Ronald Allen Tellier in 1970, bringing her two sons, Rick and Alfred, into the family. Later they were blessed with daughter, Julie. They resided in the Davis City area farming their whole married life.

In her younger days, Donna enjoyed playing slow pitch softball and bowling. She also did crafts and crocheted afghan blankets for all of her children and grandchildren. She loved dancing to country music. Ron and Donna were camping hosts at Slip Bluff county park and always enjoyed camping there. Donna liked to make meals and entertain family and friends in their home. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing Skipbo with them.

Donna was a member of the RLDS Church when she was younger. She was a hardworking member of the Davis City funeral dinner committee.

Preceding her in death were her father and stepfather; and her son, Alfred Pinegar.

Survivors include her husband, Ron “Frog” Tellier of Davis City; son, Rick Pinegar, and companion, Carolyn Hulett, of Leon, Iowa; daughter, Julie Waddell, and fiancé, Todd Boles, of Davis City; daughter-in-law, Patty Pinegar, of Lamoni, Iowa; grandchildren, Cameron Pinegar, Alta Nikki & Nathan Head, Bailey Boswell, and Taylor Waddell and friend, Stephanie Gerhling; great grandchildren, Ellie Boswell, Hunter Head, Gunnar Head, and Nahla Boswell; mother, Ruth Black of Hatfield, Missouri; siblings, Gene & Devy Combs of Kearney, Missouri, Ken & Pam Combs of Lamoni, Sandra White of Osawatomie, Kansas, and Mike & Marcia Black of Hatfield; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Slade – O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017, with Pastor Woodie Ladnier officiating. Burial will be in the Davis City Cemetery, Davis City, Iowa.
