Peter Knud Larsen, II, age 51, of West Des Moines, Iowa formerly, Lamoni, Iowa, the son of Clinton Dale and Betty Lou (Collins) Larsen, was born August 17, 1966, in Princeton, Minnesota. He left this life on December 14, 2017, at Manor Care in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Pete grew up and attended school in Glenwood, Minnesota. He later attended trucking school in Lamoni, Iowa through Southwestern Community College. He drove truck for several years.

Pete was married to Pamela Deann Crewse and became a father to her two sons, Matt and Justin. They were also blessed with three children of their own, Patricia, and twins, Kurt and Pete.

Pete lived in Leon, Mt. Ayr, and Lamoni, Iowa where he made many friends. Everybody loved him; he was a very kindhearted person. He was artistic and enjoyed painting and drawing. He was a simple guy who loved going to church and to the casino. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, of whom he was very proud. He was always ready to watch a movie. Pete was recently diagnosed with cancer, but he handled it with courage and grace. Throughout his battle if he was not cured, he was comfortable going on to his next life to see his parents again.

Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his children, Patricia and Todd Wills of Leon, Kurt Larsen of Mt. Ayr, Pete Larsen of Decatur, Iowa, Matt Crewse of Washington State, and Justin Crewse of Decatur; six grandchildren, Abby, Braxton, Ava, Dawson, Gabrille, and Bane; siblings, Bonnie and Russ Erwin of West Des Moines, Lance Larsen of Leon, Bruce and Karen Larsen of Alexandria, Minnesota, Bryan and Vonnie Larsen of Glenwood, Minnesota, and Clint, Jr. “Shane” Larsen of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; nephews, Brant and Darren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Slade – O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa at 9 a.m. Monday December 18, 2017, and burial in Union Cemetery, Humboldt, Iowa at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
