Bernard William Emanuel

Bernard William Emanuel was born July 18, 1908 in Davis county, Iowa, the son of Aaron and Gertrude Emanuel, and died Jan. 10, 1963, at Davis county hospital at the age of 54 years, 5 months and 23 days.

Mr. Emanuel, a professional sheep shearer, had lived his in Davis county most of his life. He was a member of the Dunnville Baptist church.

He married LuVelle Ware in 1925 in Davis county and they were the parents of two sons.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Dean of Arlington, Tex.; and Doyle William of Tyler, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Leah Pence of Bloomfield; three brothers, Harold of Storm Lake, Donald of Des Moines and Verlin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sunday, Jan. 13, 1963, at the Wagler funeral home, Bloomfield, conducted by the Rev. A.M. Crawley of the Church of the Open Bible.

Mrs. A.M. Crawley sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee," accompanied by Mrs. Betty Shaw.

Pallbearers were Billy Shaw, James Shaw, Charles Swaim, Kenneth Swaim, Hollis Perring and Vernon Moore. Interment was in the Dunnville cemetery.
