DEATH CAME QUICKLY
Mr. W. F. Hassenpflug, formerly a resident of Bloomfield and very successful farmer in Davis county, died Tuesday, June 3rd, at his home near Ipswich, South Dakota. Mrs. W. P. Caldwell, a very intimate friend of the family during their residence here, received a telegram Wednesday announcing the sad news. The funeral was held last Thursday at Ipswich, S.D. Many friends here will be sorry to read of Mr. Hassenpflug's death. Two sons and one daughter, Lee and Loren and Vera, with the wife survive.
Mr. Hassenpflug and family came to Davis county in 1903 from Cascade, iowa, locating on a farm west of Bloomfield, later moving to Bloomfield. About nine years ago they bought land in South Dakota, disposing of their interests here and moving to Ipswich.
The death of M. Hassenpflug camE as a great surprise to those here who knew and admired the family. he suffered an attack of pneumonia and passed quickly into the last repose.
