The following is the obituary of Mr. Geo. Neumann. Sr., which we wore unable to get in time for last week's is sue. Mr. Neumann had been ailing quite a bit of late and died a week ago Friday while being taken to Omaha to consult a specialist. George Neumann was born in Germany Dec. 11, 1808, and died May 20, 1914, being 56 years, 6 months and 20 days of age.

In 1871, he came to America, settling at Chicago, Ill., where he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Thies. Eleven children, seven girls and four boys, were born to this union: Mrs. Lena Kasperson, Mrs. Mary Georgius,
Mrs. Amanda Groenheck, Mrs. Anna Segebarth, Mrs. Emma Brockman, Miss Wilhelmina, Miss Alma, John, William, George and Edward. Mr. Neumann preceded her husband to the great beyond in 1901, leaving him with a large family to care for. Although not a strictly religious man, Mr. Neumann was always honest and right in his dealings with anyone and never would try to injure or hurt the feelings of his friends.

The funeral services were held at Arcadia last Monday forenoon, Rev. Englert conducting the services. Interment was made in the Arcadia cemetery. We join the many friends in extending our sincerest sympathy to the children and relatives of the deceased.
