Gold Coin-Guests Present

A social event of much interest to Denison and a number of surrounding towns was the Golden Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Walker which was celebrated at their pleasant home on Locust Street Saturday. About three hundred invitations were issued and nearly two hundred and fifty called during the afternoon and evening. The home was artistically decorated in yellow and white flowers on crepe paper. The dining table was beautifully spread with lace flowers and dainty service and during the reception coffee was poured by Mrs. Dave Walker of Chicago, Mrs. Isaac Howarth and Miss Lulu Howarth of Dow City. Mrs. Frank Young assisted both afternoon and evening and invited all the guests to the dining room where the dainties were served by Misses Lucile Johnson, Virgil Snell, Dorothy Moeller, and Ruth Silletto.

Mrs. Bernice Shattuck, of Vermont and Thelma Walker of Chicago served frappe. Mr. Barborke furnished beautiful harp music during the evening and the Edison music box was used during the afternoon.

Beautiful basket flower holder, Mrs. Rachel Goodrich, Miss Jessie Goodrich, Mrs. John Silletto, Miss Katie Silletto, Anna and Kate Schumacher, Hilda and Edna Schnoor, Miss Alice Stevens.

Mr. and Mrs. Walker were married in Chicago fifty years ago and have lived thirty-six years of that time in Denison, where they have many friends that hope they will live to celebrate many more such occasions.
