"Barney" Foran, who did not know the kindly old man, a friend to everybody. About two weeks ago he was stricken with congestion of the liver and kidneys and today he is no more. Death relieved him about 12 o'clock Friday night. His was a kindly nature and many will mourn him and sadly miss his ever hearty greeting.
Bernard Foran was a native of Ireland and was just over 76 years of age at the time of his death. He came to this country in 1848, but did not locate at Lyons until 1857 and has ever since made this city his home. Here he was known by every one and much respected. He leaves a wife and three children. The funeral services were held from St. Irenaeus church Monday morning at 9 o'clock.
