Word was received in Clinton Monday morning that M. G. Gohlman, a pioneer settler of Clinton county, had quietly passed over to the great beyond, at his home in Charlotte, about noon Sunday. Deceased was in his seventy-ninth year, and enjoyed the friendship and respect of every inhabitant for many years. While in the twin cities of Clinton and Lyons he numbered many of our old settlers among his warmest friends. The funeral occurred Monday at 10 a.m. from the family homestead, two miles from Charlotte, and was largely attended.
