Last rites for Mrs. Lucinda Schnede, 8o, were held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland, Dec. 10, with the Rev. Harold Koenig officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery. The Chapman funeral home was in charge.

Pallbearers were 6 grandsons, Dean Weih, Jan and Jon Schnede, Don Hein and Dennis Ruggeberg. Wilma Riedesel was organist and Elwood Fuelling sang.

Mrs. Schnede died at Colonial Manor nursing home, Wheatland, Dec. 7 following a long illness.

The daughter of Theodore and Minnie Schroeder Peckenschneider, she was born at New Liberty July 8, 1893 and was educated in the rural Clinton county schools.

She was married to Fred Schnede at the home of her parents southwest of Calamus, Sept. 5, 1912. They made their home on a farm north of Wheatland for many years, retiring to Wheatland.

She is survived by a son, Virgil, Wheatland and 3 daughters, Mrs. Nola Weih and Mrs. Darrell Ruggeberg, Bennett, and Mrs. Lois Hein, Tipton; 17 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law.
