Ellen R. Morgan, 93, of Clinton, Iowa passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at MercyOne Hospital.

A visitation will be held beginning at 11:30 am on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory, with the Funeral Service following at 12:30 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed by

Ellen Ruth O‘Leary was born July 18, 1928 in Plymouth, Indiana, the daughter of William and Annie (Westland) O’Leary. She was a 1947 graduate of York Community High School in Thomson, Illinois. She married John “Jack” Morgan on August 17, 1956 in Clinton, Iowa. He
preceded her in death on June 3, 2012.

Ellen worked for Northwestern Bell for many years and as a Nurse’s Aide at the Alverno, but mostly she loved taking care of her family. She was a woman of faith who enjoyed homemaking, baking her awesome pies with the apples from her backyard trees, sewing, reading, and her pets.

Ellen is survived by her three children: John “Marshall” (Nancy) Morgan of West Des Moines, Iowa; David (Teri) Morgan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Lori Morgan of Clinton; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Sharon Morgan-Cullen, son Daniel Milton Morgan, brother William O’Leary and sister-in-law Nancy (Chamberlin) O'Leary.

The family would like to thank Brenda Knutsen (Ellen's caretaker of many years), the staff at Eagle Point Health Care Center and MercyOne Hospital for their kindness and expertise during Ellen's final days.
