Funeral services for Adolph G. Stoecker, 86, who died Sept. 13 in his home in Wheatland following several heart attacks, were held Sept. 16 in St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church, Wheatland. The Rev. H. Koenig officiated. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery.

Wilma Riedesel was the organist and Kenneth Hoffman and Elwood Fuelling sang. Pallbearers were Emil Endorf, August Vens, Max Jeppe, Henry Busch, Edward Rowald and Edward Beuthien. Mrs. Emil Endorf and Mrs. Edward Rowald had charge of flowers.

Mr. Stoecker was born June 7, 1879 in Lubeck, Germany, the son of Ludwig and Dorothea Griesbach Stoecker. He came to this country and Lowden with his parents in 1881. He received his education in the Lowden public school and the school church of Zion Evangelical church.

Feb. 21, 1907 he was united in marriage to Anna Bouschlicher of Wheatland in the family home northwest of Wheatland. Following their marriage they lived in Lowden where he was a carpenter. They then farmed in the Wheatland area until 1932 when they retired and moved into their home in Wheatland. Mr. Stoecker was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland.

Survivors are his widow, 2 daughters, Mrs. Carl Nanke, Stanwood, and Mrs. Orlando Steffens, Lowden, a granddaughter, a brother, Matthias, Princeville, Ill., and 2 sisters, Mrs. Robert Barnes, Mt. Vernon and Mrs. James V. Milota, Lowden.
