Margaret M. Pestka, 98, of Clinton passed away, Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Alverno, Clinton. Services will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30AM at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luke Pestka, Kelly Pestka, Corey Kraklio, Matt Staszewski, Mitch Hopkins and Jim Magrane. Margaret Ruggeberg was born February 21, 1922 in Welton, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Amelia (Schwartz) Ruggeberg. She was educated and graduated from the Welton Consolidated Schools and graduated from the Paris Academy Beauty School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Margaret married Joseph L. Pestka May 26, 1941 in Hannibal, MO; he died May 4, 1981.

Margaret had been employed as a beautician for several years, worked at Nielsen’s for more than 19 years and farmed with her husband for more than 25 years.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, #474 Women of the Moose, the Low Moor Sewing Club, Mercy Wellness Program, YWCA, 55+ and was active bowling with Nielsen’s.

She is survived by her children, Roy Joseph (Jan) Pestka of Durant, IA; Thomas Max (Barbara) Pestka of Maquoketa, IA and Marsha Ann (Gary) Hopkins of Camanche, IA; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-granddaughter; sisters-in-law, Louise Collins of Moline, IL and Beanie Johnson of Sun City, AZ and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Jessie; six brothers and four sisters.
