Alfred “Bud” W. Parker, 90, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 23, 2020. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with no services. Private burial occurs at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Bud was born January 31, 1930 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Alfred Sr. and Ruth (Stauffer) Parker. Following high school, Bud joined the Iowa National Guard. In 1948 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and following an honorable discharge from the Army, he then enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

Following his military career, Bud returned to Clinton and was a truck driver for Volkmann Furniture Co. and Van Allen Department Store.

Bud was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was an avid Hawkeye and Green Bay Packers fan. He also enjoyed fishing and was a skilled woodworker. Above all, he loved his family very much and will be sadly missed.

Bud is survived by his daughter – Kathrine (Sean O’Neil) Rosenboom of Pekin, IL, two grandsons - Colt (Laneya) Rosenboom of KS and Joey (Harmonie) Rosenboom of Davenport; one granddaughter – Heather Kenworthy of Camanche and his best friend in life - Marie Parker; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding Bud in death are his parents, one son – Michael, six sisters and one brother.
