Albert F. Strackbein, 71, died of a heart attack Jan. 15 at his home south of Wheatland. He was born on a farm south of Wheatland Oct. 21, 1886, the son of the late Louis and Maria Homrighausen Strackbein. He was married to the former Emma Riedesel Feb. 28, 1913. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Leon, and a daughter, Ethel, both at home; three brothers, John Strackbein and Frank Strackbein, both of Wheatland, and Louis Strackbein of Davenport, and a sister, Mrs. Louise Conrad of Wheatland. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Services were held Saturday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland, with burial at St. Paul's cemetery.
