Clifford V. “Tuffy” Vorbeck age 93 of Clinton, formerly of Goose lake, passed away Thursday Dec. 27, 2018 at Mercy Living Center North, Clinton. Visitation will be held Sunday Dec. 30th from 2 – 5 PM at the Pape Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will be held Monday at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Clifford was born on Jan. 31, 1925 in Rockford, IL, the son of Vernon and Sophia (Gunther) Vorbeck. He married Elizabeth McDevitt on June 26, 1946 in St. Donatus, IA. She died in 1969. He was a self-employed truck driver for many years. He was a member of the Clinton Moose Lodge and AMVETS. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and dancing.

Tuffy is survived by his 5 children, Joseph (Susan) Vorbeck of Maquoketa, IA, Colleen (Larry) Ketelsen of Bemidji, MN, Pam (Weldon) Wells of Lebanon, TN, Michelle (Lester) Bragg of Rock Falls, IL, and Renee (Gar) Kern of Zimmerman, MN; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 2 sisters.
