CLINTON, Iowa -- Leona Doris Marr, 86, of Muscatine, Iowa, formerly of Clinton, Iowa, died Monday, June 7, 2004, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be 1 - 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. The Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

She was born Monday, July 16, 1917, in Clinton, the daughter of Marcus and Frieda (Brandenburg) Andresen. She married Bernard "Jack" Marr on Nov. 27, 1935. He died Dec. 18, 1998.

She was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her son, Richard Marr, and his wife, Evie, of Muscatine; her son, Jackson Marr, and his wife, Barb, of Evansville, Ind.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and four sisters.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. John's Lutheran Church.
