Funeral services for Mandel Peterson, 48, who died suddenly at 9 p.m. Saturday in his home in Wheatland where he suffered a heart attack, were held yesterday afternoon in St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church in Wheatland. The Rev. C. H. Koehler officiated. Burial was in St. Paul's cemetery.

Mr. Peterson was born July 5, 1900, on a farm near Grand Mound, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson. He was married May 9, 1926, to Marie Hoker, of Wheatland. He farmed in the Toronto and Wheatland communities until 1944 when the couple moved to Wheatland.

Surviving are the widow, two sisters, Mrs. Harry Smith and Mrs. Elmer Pruhs, both of Calamus; and a brother, Irwin Peterson.

Preceding him in death were his son, Devere, his parents, and one sister.
