Death claimed one of the most respected men in eastern Iowa Monday afternoon when He wrote "30" after the name of Frank W. Buxton of Wheatland, publisher of the Wheatland Gazette the past 63 years. Mr. Buxton was 90 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of his son, Perry, in Wheatland, and at 2 o'clock in St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. Robert Mohr and the Rev. C. H. Koehler will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, at Monticello.

Born Jan. 9, 1860, at Waubeck, Iowa, Frank was the son of Samuel and Mary Buxton. He was married on his 21st birthday to Minnie Babcock of Monticello, who has been his partner at home and in newspaper interests for nearly 70 years.

He is survived by his wife, with whom he celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in January, 1950. Also surviving are his son, Perry, a daughter, Mrs. John Thompson, Tollesen, Ariz.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
