CAMANCHE, Iowa -- Services for William "Bill" Parr, 77, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Camanche. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Camanche Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Parr died Monday, Sept. 2, 1996 at his home.
He worked 35 years at DuPont, Clinton, where he was a supervisor.

He was born Oct. 25, 1918, in Clarence. He married Elva Haines in 1942 in Hannibal, Mo. She died in 1978. He married Mary Marr Anderson in 1981 in Camanche.

Memorial may be made to the church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Carter, Wayne, Pa.; stepdaughters, Barbara Watts; Hanover, Ill., and Mary Kay Dittmar, Altus, Ark.; a stepson, Byrl Swanson, Orange Park, Fla,; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Hendricks, Clinton; and a brother, Bryson Parr, Camanche.
