The Clinton Herald Monday May 16, 1921 p 8 John N. Boyd passed away quite suddenly of heart disease at the home of his sister, Mrs. A.R. Springer, 527 Fourth avenue, about 7 o'clock last evening. He was born in Connelsville, Pa., September 12, 1841, and had he lived would have been 89 years old in September. He served throughout the Civil was and was a member of the local General N.R. Baker post, G.A.R. For the last four years he had made his home with his sister, Mrs. A.R. Springer, 527 Fourth avenue, who is his only survivor and the last of a family of six children. Funeral services will be held at the Bragonier chapel at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon Rev. A.C. Stowe will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. The members of the G.A.R. will attend in a body.
