Raymond Witt, 80, of Long Grove, died August 26 at Davenport Good Samaritan Center.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 29, at 1:30 p.m. at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt, where military rites were given by the Bettendorf V.F.W.
Pallbearers were Rick Witt, Richard H. Witt, John Luppen, Ernie Hendricks, Joshua Witt and Dale LeClair.
Raymond Witt was born Nov. 10, 1913, in McCausland to Johannes and Rose Bey Witt. He was a World War II Army veteran serving in the medical corps. He had worked at Oscar Meyer in the freezer department for 34 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include a sister, Ida Mae Nightingale of Moline, Ill.; brothers, Arnold and Carl, both of Davenport; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Death date: Aug. 26, 1994
