My husband (retired RE broker) says the land transfers could have been part of the estate settlement because they occurred so many years after the death. The Recorders Office in Elkader should still have the original records. I think that the transfer to Albert Samek might be the younger McKeon & wife.

The McGregor Library has the North Iowa Times on microfilm. It has not been digitalized.
