Robert Allen Faust, 56, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, after a sudden illness.

Visitation was Wednesday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Guttenberg.

Funeral services were Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg. Pallbearers were Lonnie Moser, Denny Fredlake, Darrell Fredlake, Bob Petsche, Danny Spielbauer, and Marvin Althoff. Honorary bearers were the Clayton Ridge Drill Team.

Robert was born the son of Robert W. and Verdamay (Horstman) Faust on Dec. 6, 1951 in Guttenberg, Iowa.

Robert attended and graduated from the Guttenberg High School in 1970. He spent the last 14 years working for Guttenberg Industries in the tool and die department. On Oct. 11, 1986 he was united in marriage with Debra Froehle at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guttenberg. They were later blessed with two daughters. Robert was a member of music and athletics boosters, Eagles Club and he was on the Osterdock town council. He enjoyed watching birds, working in his cabin, spending time with his family, being involved with school activities, watching NASCAR and playing video games.

Robert's memory will be cherished by his wife Debra Faust of Osterdock; two daughters, Sarah and Emily Faust; mother, Verdamay Faust of Osterdock; one sister, Sharon Hoth of Dubuque; one brother, Michael (Tina) Faust of Osterdock; mother-in-law Darlene Froehle of Guttenberg; sister-in-law, Margie (Jesse) Danalewich of Elberon; two brothers-in-law, John W. Froehle of Guttenberg and Robert J. (Kim) Froehle of Colesburg; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert W. Faust; brother-in law Harry Hoth and father-in-law John H. Froehle.

In lieu of flower memorials may be directed to the family of Robert Faust.
