Daniel B. Cook, son of Francis G. and Catherine Burnham Cook, was born on April 28, 1853, near Farmersburg, Iowa. Here he grew to manhood and on March 19, 1891, was united in marriage to Miss Ella Irene Butts, at Monona, Iowa. For 25 years they shared the joys and sorrows of life, when she preceded him in death.

One daughter was born to this union, Florence, of Grand Meadow, Minn.

In the fall of 1919 he disposed of his farm in Clayton County, Iowa, and moved to the village of Grand Meadow, Minn., and has since resided there, where he passed away early Sunday morning, Oct. 16, 1932, at the age of 79 years.

He is survived by his daughter Florence and one sister, Mrs. E. L. Turner, of Grand Meadow, Minn., also several nieces and nephews. One brother, George, preceded him in death in 1925.

He will be remembered as a loving father, a loyal friend and an honest man.

He was laid to rest in the Farmersburg and Wagner cemetery on Tuesday afternoon.
