Clayton County Register, Thur., 3 Mar. 1932.

OSTERDOCK: Nick Moser, 72, long-time resident of Clayton county, passed away at his farm home in Mallory township Sunday.

Deceased was born in Switzerland May 4, 1859, coming to America with his parents in the year 1868 and settling in Clayton county, Iowa. He was married to Miss Sarah Smith. For many years he was successfully engaged in farming in Mallory township.

Mr. Moser was a man who stood for justice and righteousness at all times, which won him many friends during life, by whom his memories will forever be cherished. To do kind acts for his family and friends was his greatest pleasure in life. To know him was to love and respect him.

He leaves to mourn his death his widow, two sons, John and George, of Mallory township; five daughters, Mrs. James Lee and Mrs. Walter White of Osterdock, Mrs. Chas. Guinn of Arcadia, Florida, Mrs. William Lee of Mallory township, and Mrs. H. Mott of Osage; one sister, Mrs. Mary Friedlein of Junction City, Wis.; four brothers, John of Independence, Mo., Robert and Alec of Mallory township, and Fred of Osterdock; a number of grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends who will all sadly miss this good and true man.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Nothdurft of Colesburg, at the Bethel church Tuesday afternoon, with interment in the Bethel cemetery. The funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends from far and near, which showed that deceased was held in high regard by all who knew him.
