Burial services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Hill Crest cemetery in Volga for Frank J. Neuenkirch, 76, who died Thursday afternoon at his farm home southwest of Oelwein. The Brandt Funeral Home of Oelwein conducted the service.

Mr. Neuenkirch was born Feb. 21, 1877, at Strawberry Point, a son of Adam and Sophie Hermerdin Neuenkirch. A retired farmer, he resided all his life in Iowa. In 1927, he moved from Waterloo to his farm near Oelwein.

Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Mary Jane Smith of Volga; one son, Robert, of Denver, Iowa; two brothers, Ben, of Strawberry Point,, and Clarence, of University City, MO, and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Duncan of Strawberry Point.
