IRWIN, PAUL, BAKER, HAKES

Died. At his home near Monona,Feb'y 8th, 1899, James Irwin, aged 70 years, 1 month and 14 days.

Deceased was born in the County of Sligo, Ireland, December 25th, 1828. He came to this country in the year 1854, and has resided in Clayton County forty-five years.

In 1860 he married Laura Paul, who died in 1865, and in 1866 he married Sarah Baker, who died in 1894, thus leaving him a widower the second time.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Lucy Hakes, and four grand children, with whom he has resided on the home farm since the death of Mrs. Irwin.

Funeral services were conducted at the home on Saturday, the 11th, Rev. Dwello officiating. Burial in the Monona cemetery.
