Elkader Register, Thur., 6 Oct. 1921. Strawberry Point column.

The death of Jake Fenchel, Sr.,, aged 73 years, occurred at his home on South Street Monday afternoon after several years suffering from (word blurred). Besides his wife he leaves two sons and two daughters, Jake Fenchel and Fred Fenchel of this place, Mrs. Chas. Croryle of Edgewood, and a daughter in Canada. Funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock conducted by his pastor, Rev. Fritschel of the Lutheran church. Interment took place in the local cemetery.
