Clayton County Register, Thur., 3 Oct. 1935.

McGregor: Claude Brock, 43, of McGregor, died at the Prairie du Chien sanitarium Sept. 19th, from injuries received in an automobile accident the preceding Saturday night near Farmersburg. Funeral services were held at Prairie du Chien Saturday afternoon, the American Legion being in charge. Rev. Bodamer officiated. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery in Lowertown.

Claude Brock was born in Guttenberg, Iowa, Dec. 28, 1891. He was an employee of the Milwaukee Railroad since he was a young man, being a brakeman and later a conductor. In 1918 he enlisted in the World War and served in France ten months. He was married to Miss Cora Oestriech of Winona, Minn., in 1922. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Dorothy; his father, John Brock, and one sister, Mrs. Hazel McCubrey, of LaCrosse, Wis., and one brother, Earl Brock, of Pullman, Wash.
