Guttenberg: Fred Jaeger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Jaeger of Garnavillo township passed away at the state hospital at Independence on Sunday at the age of 33 years, 10 months and 10 days. He had been at the state hospital for treatment for some time previous to his death. The deceased was born on a farm near here on October 1, 1901. He is survived by his parents, five brothers, and numerous other relatives and friends. The body was brought here for burial. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. A. Dupont at St. Mary's Catholic church in Guttenberg on Tuesday morning with interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
