In the floral garden of Attorney and Mrs. Backus, uncle and aunt of the groom, at Oelwein, Iowa, on June 29, occurred the marriage of Miss Evelyn Agnes Burgett, of Strawberry Point, and Mr. Howard Wells Colton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Colton of Lamont. The Rev. Henke performed the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of the Strawberry Point high school, the groom graduated from the Lamont high school, and is employed as shipping clerk at the Rath Packing House, Waterloo. The newlyweds will be at home to their friends at 307 Rath Street, Waterloo, Iowa.
