A pretty wedding was solemnized Tuesday afternoon, October 1, in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Glawe near St. Olaf when their daughter, Gladys, became the bride of Mr. William J. Coobs, son of Mrs. Dirk Ebeling of Marion, S.D. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated at the single ring service.

The couple was attended by Miss Helen Knoke, a cousin of the bride, and Mr. Wayne Pavey of Klemme, a nephew of the groom.

A wedding dinner was served at the bride's home. A large wedding cake made by the bride's grandmother graced the table's center. The meal was prepared by Mrs. Kenneth Thompson, an aunt of the bride. Lucille Glawe, Eva Mae Koss and Frances Orr were table waitresses.

Guests at the wedding dinner were the Rev. Paul Kitterer, Mrs. Dirk Ebeling of Marion, S. Dak., Mrs. Wallace Pavey, Wayne and Juanita and Mrs. Verner Lewis of Klemme, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Coobs and family and Miss Eva Mae Koss, all of McGregor. Mr. and Mrs. William Gottschalk of Elkader, Miss Frances Orr of Burlington, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Thompson and Virgil, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Glawe and family.
