A quiet wedding took place in the Lutheran church at Elkport on Sunday afternoon, October 6, when Miss Lulu Bankes, only daughter of Mrs. Lloyd Kelly of Garber, was married to Mr. Carl Dahling, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dahling of Littleport.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. E. Damm, pastor of the church, in the presence of the attendants, Miss Fern Hageman of Garber, close friend of the bride, and Alfred Kramer of Mederville, life-long friend of the groom.

The bride received her education in the schools of Richland Center, Wis., and the Elkader high school. The groom is a graduate of the Littleport high school.

The bridal couple left for a short trip among friends before making their residence on the home farm.
