Terrible Accident.
Mason City, Oct. 1.—A frightful and fatal accident occurred on the Milwaukee road at Fostoria to-day. The Spirit Lake train, a frieght{sp}, went through a bridge and five cars were piled upon the engine. Roadmaster Woods, of this city, was instantly killed, he being caught beneath the engine. Woods was roadmaster for the Iowa and Dakota divison{sp} of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul road and was making a tour of inspection, riding on the engine for that purpose at the time of the wreck. Engineer Ferguson and Fireman Simpson were also terriably{sp} injured and may die.
