Died At Oakdale

Wayne Silliman, 41, local painter and decorator, died yesterday evening at Oakdale saiatorium near Iowa City where he had been undergoing treatment since March 1.

He had been a resident of Osceola since 1929, moving here from Warren county. For the past few years he worked with Frank Funck as a painter and decorator. He was born and reared in the Medora community.

Surviving are his wife, the former Lucy Sharp; his father, Walter Silliman; and one sister, Mrs. Edna McCormick, of Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held from Miller funeral home Friday afternoon at 2:20 with the Rev. R. Underwood of Murray officiating. Burial will be in Liberty cemetery.
