--Winfield S. Cox died at the Clarinda asylum June 20, 1901, aged forty-eight years, nine months and fourteen days. The body was brought to Osceola and funeral services held at the M. P. church Saturday forenoon, June 22, at 10 o'clock. Rev. McCorkle had charge of the services. The body was interred in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery. The deceased was born in Hocking county, Ohio, September 6, 1852. His parents moved here in 1856 and all the remainder of his life was spent here until 1898 when he was unfortunately stricken with a derangement of mind.
