Henry L. Wells died at his home near Jamison, June 22nd. He had been in poor health for some time with that dreaded disease - consumption which finally terminated rather suddenly by hemorrhages of the lungs. He was nearly forty years old. He was a sober, industrious young man and had been a railroad employee for several years. His health having failed he came home where he worked on the farm until the time of his death.

He leaves a father, mother, six sisters, and two brothers, and many friends and neighbors to mourn his loss. He was the first one to be interred in the new cemetery here, which he helped lay off for a burial ground.
