Manervia Ewing

was born in Warren county, Iowa, February 15, 1880 and passed away at her home north of Osceola April 16, 1904 aged twenty-four years, two months and one day. She was united in marriage to A. N. Young January 4, 1900. She was the youngest of thirteen children of Wm. and E. Ewing, all deceased except three brothers, John, of Des Moines, William of Osceola, and Lee, of near New Virginia, and two sisters, Mrs Margaret Barstow and Mrs. Jane Stansbury, of Osceola, who with the husband and little son, aged three years, with numerous relatives and friends mourn her loss. In early life she united with the Christian church. The funeral services were held at the home four miles north of Osceola, Sunday, April 17th, Rev. W. W. Folger having charge of the services, after which interment was made in the Fremont cemetery.

Note: Interment was made at the Union Chapel Cemetery in Clarke county. The first name was inscribed on the headstone as "Mervia."
