"Young Mother Passes -- Mrs. Clyde Miller passed away at her home in the city Saturday, January 12th, just two days after the birth of a baby daughter, Lena Rosemond, who will never know the true love of a mother. Also the heart broken husband and a son and daughter survive. Funeral services took place from the local M.E. church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. Claude R. Cook. A mixed quartette furnished the music and American Legion Men assisted as pall bearers.Burial was at Maple Hill. Following is the obituary. Evangeline Gordon was born in Friendship, Adams County, Wisconsin, July 4, 1893. After the death of her mother which occurred when she was three years of age, she went to make her home with her aunt in Wimbledon, North Dakota, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Clyde Miller February 14, 1917 [sic]. To this union four children were born, Delbert E., Imogene, Russell, who passed away in infancy, and Lena Rosemond. She united, when quite young with the M.E. church, which learnings she followed through life. She was a devoted wife and mother, ever watchful of the care of her family and home."
