An old citizen gone - Another of Clarke county’s old and respected citizens has passed away. Mr. William R. Osmond died at his home in Doyle township, near Hopeville, on Sunday, 11th inst., after a short illness, at the age of about sixty years. Mr. Osmond was one of the early settlers of Clarke county, and one of her most useful citizens. He possessed the respect and confidence of all his neighbors, who will feel keenly his loss to the community. His funeral was conducted by the Masonic fraternity, of which order he was a member.

In Memoriam
Whereas, it has pleased our Heavenly Mater to remove from our midst our Worthy Overseer, Brother Wm. R. Osmond, therefore resolved, by Doyle Grange No. 964 of the Patrons of Husbandry, that in his death we recognize the loss of a worthy patron a faithful coworker with us, and an old and respected citizen.
Resolved, as a token of respect in memory of deceased, and in sympathy for the afflicted family, a copy of these resolutions be forwarded to the Osceola Sentinel, Iowa Baptist and the family of the deceased.
