Funeral services for another of Clarke county's pioneer mothers were held at the Webster Funeral Home Sunday afternoon. She was Mrs. Anna Eleanor Miller who has been a resident of Clarke county since 1869. Mrs. Miller was born in Gosport, Indiana on January 31, 1852 and died at a local hospital, Saturday, October 15, 1932 of injuries received in a fall a few days previous.

She was married to Johnson Collier in 1868 In Indiana. To this union one daughter, now deceased, was born. With her husband, Mrs. Collier came to Clarke county in 1889. A year later her husband died. In 1872 she was married to William Lewis Miller of Osceola. Three children were born to this union. Two of these, a daughter and a son, died in infancy, the other, Mrs. Maude White and her loving husband survive. Also two grand-daughters, Dorothy Davis of Murray and Idreas Smith of Osceola, one grandson, Gene Miller of Omaha and Frank Miller, a nephew, of St. Joseph, Mo and five great grandchildren. All were present at the services Sunday.

She united with the church some forty years ago under the ministry of Rev. Franklin and remained a loyal Christian until the end. She was a member of Sarah Rebecca lodge No. 57. Besides the rearing of her own daughter, she took into her home and brought up to manhood two grandsons and a nephew. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and her friends were numbered by her acquaintances. Always ready to help the needy in sickness or distress, she was a valued neighbor and friend and her passing has brought sadness to many a heart. Services were conducted by the Rev F. C McCallon of the Christian church
and interment was made in Maple Hill cemetery.
