The Herald Patriot, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, July 17, 1930

Jenetta Margaret Leonard Fleenor was born at Pleasant Grove where she grew to young womanhood.

Shortly after their marriage, Harrison and Jenetta moved to Winterset in Iowa, where they resided for several months, then came to Lucas County. After living here a short time they moved to Missouri, remaining there until 1871, then returned to a farm near Lucas, where they have since resided.

Jenetta was a firm believer in God. All her cares and sorrows she bore with patience and kindness for three long years and all those who dwelt within the presence of her smile understood best, her beautiful character, her wonderful love and kindness. She was always eager to help others, anxious to ease their heartache and pains, and had a kind word for everyone and a sincere regard for all she chanced to meet on life's great highway.

She loved peace and tranquility around her and enjoyed casting sunshine in the shadowed lives of others. Thus, through life she strove to fulfill her mission from the beginning until the close which came as the hour hand was nearing the noon hour on July 7, 1930.

She was a loving unselfish mother and will be greatly missed in her home by her loved ones and in the community by her friends.

Interment at Woodburn, Iowa.
