Woodburn Funeral
For John Bunning

Funeral services for John W. Bunning, 63 year old La Grange, Ill., refrigeration engineer, were held Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic church in Woodburn, with burial in the Woodburn cemetery.

Rev. Father Lawrence Burns officiated at the services. Mr. Bunning was born at St. Louis, Mo., on June 7, 1902, and died unexpectedly of a heart attack at La Grange Community Memorial Hospital in La Grange on Saturday, June 12. He spent his early life in Omaha, and on August 8, 1927, was united in marriage to Miss Mayme Spencer in St. Mary's church in Woodburn.

After a three-year contract in South American for Westinghouse, Mr. Bunning joined Swift and Company and was with the general office in Chicago since 1934, traveling extensively. He was a licensed refrigeration engineer in the state of Illinois, and had lived in La Grange since 1942.

Survivors include his wife, his daughter Patricia Stevens; his son John and four grandchildren James, Patricia, John and Charles Stevens; sisters Julia Thompson, of Omaha and Susan Rupe of Fallsbrook, Calif.

Mass was said In St. Francis Xavier church in La Grange before the body was brought to Woodburn for burial.

Pall bearers at the services in Woodburn were Harold Fitz Patrick, Marvin Viertz, Perry Diehl, Thomas Rooney, Ralph Jones and James Lyons.
