Marion Howe, 53-year-old former resident of Clarke county and brother of two Osceola residents, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Dec. 15 at his home in Marshalltown. He was stricken with the attack in his barber shop there and later died at his home.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Howe, he was born near Osceola and the family moved to Indianola when he was a child. He had been a resident of Marshalltown for a number of years and funeral services and burial rites were held there.
Surviving are his widow, Flossie; a son, Curtis; one daughter, Mrs. Janice Whitmore; a grandson, Kenneth; a sister Mrs. Floyd McComas, and a brother, Ray, both of Osceola.
