WOMAN KILLS HER HUSBAND

Does It Because He would Not Quit
Working on a Fence He Was
Fixing

Osceola, Iowa, June 5 – A domestic tragedy near Woodburn, a small town 10 miles east of here. Mrs. Julia Crosby shot and instantly killed her husband, Richard Crosby, with a revolver. The ball took effect in the heart. They had been married four or five months, but had parted due to his drunkenness. A divorce was pending. Crosby had returned to his wife and was fixing a fence on a farm she had inherited from a former husband when she ordered him to quit.

He took on, when she approached and shot him. Her father and another man were witnesses. The woman is in jail and confesses her guilt, showing little concern about it. She is 35 years old and has one child by a former marriage.
