DIED.

Mrs. John Annett mourns the death of her adopted daughter, Hattie, whose death occurred at 4:30 this morning, after an illness of only a few days. On Wednesday last she attended school as usual. The next day she was taken ill. Medical aid was summoned but she grew steadily worse and this morning she sank sweetly to sleep.

Hattie was a bright little girl and was loved by a largo circle of little friends with whom she was a social favorite. The blow falls hardest upon the foster mother to whom she was as her own daughter and who loved her dearly.

Her father, Mr. Gilbertson, who resides iu Wisconsin, was sent for and the funeral will probably be held from the Methodist church Thursday. Mrs. Annett has the sympathy or a large I circle of friends in her hour of sorrow.
