Obituary.

Clara, beloved wife of Fred Meier, passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Eick, in Dresden township, Nov. 25, 1900, aged 24 years. 5 months and 11 days.

Deceased was born in Germany and came to America when 7 years of age. While living at her home in Dresden she was given in marriage to Mr. Fred Meier in October 1895, and to them one child was born. She had not been strong since the birth of her little one and three months ago they went to live with her husband's mother, Mrs. Henry Meier, near Frederika. Remaining there a sHort time, she spent a few weeks with her sister, Mrs. Joseph Leitchtman, and then came the longing to be with her mother during the last days of her life, and she was taken home, where with much suffering, but with the tenderest care by all around her, she waited for her release, which at the end was peaceful and easy. The funeral was held from the Lutheran church at Boyd and the body was laid to rest in Graceland cemetery is this city. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of many friends.
