The Obituary Record.
Adelbert Beach, son of Mrs. Alice Beach of Jacksonville died in a hospital at Brainard, Minn., last Thursday night. The body arrived her Saturday at 12:50 p. m. in charge of Charles Grey, uncle of deceased. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church the same afternoon, Bev. Chandler Parker officiating, and interment was in Graceland cemetery. A large number of neighbors and friends of the family were present to pay their tribute of respect to the young man and to offer sympathy to the sorrowing mother, sisters and brother. The circumstances connected with the death of this young man are not fully known by the family. He left here last July and went north to work in the pineries as a cook. Some time In the latter part of March he left the pineries and secured employment on a railroad. He worked but a few days when something, be knew not what, happened, which caused him to be placed him in a hospital at Brainard. He was in the hospital two weeks before he knew where he was, or could give information as to his own people. He claimed to have had quite a sum of money when he left the pineries, but had no money to speak of when be came to the hospital. The cause of death is said to have been articular rheumatism and he had been in the hospital forty days. His span of life was quickly passed and the battles with the world which he set out to face alone are ended. May he rest in peace.
